Bon Voyage!

Thanks for taking the time to read about my adventures!

My experience so far has been nothing but wonderful.  Getting here has been a complete whirlwind.

On my flight from ATL to NYC I was sitting next to COG pastors from Belgium!  Then, on my long flight to Nice, France ---I happened to have no one sitting in the seat next to me.  I curled up in a little ball, used the extra pillow and blanket, and slept like a baby.   Next thing I know I am waking up to breakfast on the plane and coffee.  I slept great!  My flight to France even landed a whole hour early--would you believe that!

I finally met my lovely little family in person.  Marie, the little girl ran up and hugged me!  We spent the afternoon exploring a little bit of Nice.  Everything about this area is perfect.  It constantly smells like roses and a fresh sea breeze.  Bliss.

Then we had a perfect lunch on the beach.  I had the most amazing salad I have ever eaten!  After that, we headed to their home!  It is quite charming.  My room is yellow and blue.

My family and I took a walk to the city, Valbonne.  It is the most perfect town I have ever visited.  I do not know how to describe.  Perhaps my pictures later of Valbonne will help, but they probably won't do it justice!

Finally we came back and they cooked an amazing dinner.  Bread, potatoes, Sausages with some intense mustard, salad, and yogurt, for dessert of course.    I ate every single bite.  I may come back having gained a few pounds!  Christophe (the father), Christine (the mother) Vincent (13 year old brother) and Gregorie (19 year old brother who is home from college this week) and I all had the most pleasant time at dinner.  This family is very warm, loving, and caring.  It was lovely to see the boys help Christine around the house, without her even asking.   I feel very happy here,

Marie. The most energetic 4 year old I have ever seen.   She is a ball of energy.  She has already told me she loves me!  She is warming up to me very quickly, which is perfect.   The language barrier is a bit of a challenge, but I am trying to teach her and they are trying to teach me as well
